Wilson Chandler will have to watch his new teammates for the rest of the preseason.

The 76ers' newly acquired forward is out with a strained left hamstring and will be reevaluated in two to three weeks.

An MRI on Saturday revealed the strain. Chandler suffered the injury during the Sixers' exhibition game in the first quarter against Melbourne United on Friday night. He did not return to the game.

With the season opener in Boston on Oct. 16, the approximate timeline provided by the Sixers leaves open the possibility for Chandler to return in time for the regular season.

The Sixers will host the Orlando Magic on Monday before heading to China where they will play the Dallas Mavericks in their final two preseason games. Chandler won't travel to China with the team, instead Chandler will rehab at the Sixers' facility in Camden.
